Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Monday - Friday)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 2+ Years of Medical Assistant Experience
• Certified Medical Assistants Only
• BLS (AHA) Certification
• Previous Travel Experience (Highly Preferred)
• Own Vehicle Required for assignment
• Housing: Must arrange housing prior to submittal

Note: LPNs with outpatient experience are also welcome to apply at a rate of $67/hr (please note LPN experience when applying).

Job Description

As a Medical Assistant in the physician office, you will play a crucial role in supporting physicians and staff to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic. You'll provide direct patient care and assist with medical procedures, while helping to maintain an efficient, patient-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Measure routine vital signs, gather medical history, and prepare patients for examinations or procedures.
• Assisting Physicians: Prepare the surgical packet, assist with office procedures, and perform injections under the supervision of the physician.
• Patient Education: Educate patients about upcoming procedures and aftercare instructions, ensuring they are well-informed and comfortable.
• Specimen Handling: Collect specimens for lab testing, ensure proper preparation, and follow up on results as directed by the physician.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with clinic policies and procedures.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Must-Have Skills:
• Certified Medical Assistant
• BLS Certification (AHA)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

• Previous Travel Experience
• Experience working in outpatient care
• Ability to multitask and prioritize patient care effectively.

Job Description:
The Medical Clinic Assistant (MA) in the physician office practices assists the physician and other staff so the office runs efficiently. The MA provides direct patient care services such as routine vital signs and gathers pertinent medical history. The MA educates and prepares the patient for office procedures and assists the doctor in the collection and preparation of specimens. The MA collects the appropriate informed consent forms and prepares the surgical packet. Under the direct supervision of the physician, the MA administers injections. As directed by the physician, the MA notifies patient of test results and the recommended plan of care.
