Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team. In this role, you will support providers by preparing patients for visits, assisting with clinical and administrative tasks, and ensuring timely coordination. You will also help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical environment.

This position requires travel between our three locations: The Villages, Wildwood, and Clermont. The Clermont location operates on a rotating schedule among Medical Assistants, with coverage every Monday and Friday, and one Thursday per month.

Hours: MondayFriday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM, except Fridays: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM


The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, attention to detail, prior medical office experience, and an eagerness to learn and grow in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for patient visits by pulling charts, reviewing notes, and setting up exam rooms and medical equipment
  • Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with basic medical care and procedures
  • Clean and sterilize instruments, equipment, and exam rooms after use
  • Answer phones and respond to patient questions, identifying visit needs appropriately
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Call in or send prescriptions, referrals, and follow up on lab results
  • Manage inventory of medical supplies and restock as needed
  • Perform general medical office duties as assigned
Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment
  • Willingness to travel between office locations
