We are currently seeking a Medical Director to join our client's team in Anchorage, Alaska. As the Medical Director, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and direction to the organization. You will collaborate with the team to develop and implement strategies that promote high-quality patient care and operational excellence.

Location: Anchorage, AK

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and strategic direction to the organization
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement clinical strategies and initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
  • Supervise and mentor medical staff, including physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
  • Represent the organization in professional and community events

Requirements

  • Valid Alaska state licenses for physicians or nurse practitioners with the appropriate medical degree are required.
  • Certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology is required.
  • 5 years experience in psychiatric prescribing and the provision of mental health services
  • 2 years of documented experience providing specialty addiction treatment
  • 3 years of administrative management/clinical supervisory experience in behavioral health and/or residential and outpatient substance use
  • CPR certification
  • Obtain Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP) approval within 3 years of application within State of Alaska
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a healthcare organization
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and quality improvement processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Willingness to relocate to Anchorage, Alaska
