Job Title Associate Program Manager, Medical Education Location Austin, Texas Reports To Sr. Program Manager, Medical Education Business Unit Austin Surgical (Encore Medical) – orthopedic implant and instrument design, development, and manufacturing facility. Role Overview This entry‑level position helps plan and execute medical education events for the department. The role requires strong organizational, collaborative, and detail‑oriented skills, working closely with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Gather and compile key metric data on all events and programs to assist with reporting, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with stakeholders to support program/event logistics, expenses, purchase orders, and post‑event reconciliation. Assist with maintenance of the database that tracks event numbers and attendees, and improve event project plans that track milestones and budgets. Support event planning as outlined in the Project Plan and as assigned by the Program Manager. Facilitate ongoing and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the program lifecycle. Exhibit exceptional attention to detail across all phases of program management, including planning, execution, follow‑up, and documentation. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Engineering, Professional Affairs, Marketing, Sales, and the Medical Education team. Minimum Basic Qualifications Associate’s degree or higher with a minimum of 1 year of work experience. Experience in a medical device related field is a plus, but not required. Event management/planning experience is preferred. Ability to travel 10‑15% domestically. Physical ability to lift, carry, or pull up to 50 pounds and stand or sit for extended periods. Desired Characteristics Task‑oriented personality with a winning attitude and a drive to exceed expectations. Flexibility and adaptability to constant change, including ability to work nights and weekends. Professional ethics and demeanor with excellent communication and collaborative skills. Proficient computer skills (Microsoft 365, Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Clear and fluent communication in English, both written and verbal. Ability to interact with customers and cross‑functional teammates in face‑to‑face, telephone, and electronic communications. Travel Requirements Ability to travel 10‑15% domestically. Physical Requirements Lift, carry, or pull up to 50 pounds and stand or sit for extended periods of time.
