\nMedical Lab Technician salary range: $21.48/hr - $31.19/hr
\nMedical Laboratory Scientist salary range: $26.97 - $35.51/hr
\nIn this role, there is the opportunity to -

- Follow established laboratory and hospital policies, ensuring compliance with quality assurance and proficiency testing guidelines. \n
- Collect and process specimens, including phlebotomy, with attention to sample appropriateness and stability. \n
- Perform qualitative and quantitative tests accurately and efficiently according to established protocols. \n
- Assist with training and orienting new employees, students, and residents, following competency guidelines. \n
- Demonstrate dependability, prioritize tasks, and exercise independent judgment to meet department needs. \n
- Follow biohazard, chemical, and sharps safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment. \n
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to compliance guidelines in all professional interactions. \n
- Perform Moderately Complex or Waived tests independently, and High Complexity tests with oversight as required. \n
- Operate equipment, perform routine maintenance, and ensure proper supply inventory management. \n

- Medical Laboratory Scientist:\n
- \n
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university AND successful completion of a CAHEA accredited
Medical Lab Scientist program OR \n - Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university with a major in biological, chemical, or clinical laboratory science AND ASCP or equivalent categorical or MLT certification OR \n
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university with a major in biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science AND at least two years' experience in a role equivalent to that of a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) in a clinical laboratory. \n

- Associate's degree in a laboratory science with certification (or eligible new graduate) from an accredited institution as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) OR \n
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution with a major in biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science, with 6 months of clinical laboratory experience OR \n
- Equivalent education and experience as defined by CLIA '88 for individuals performing high complexity testing \n

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
\nMedical Laboratory Technician MLT(ASCP) or Clinical Laboratory Assistant (CLA) certification preferred. New York license required for NY locations.
