Position Overview
The Medical Physicist will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of medical imaging and radiation therapy procedures. This full-time position is pivotal for maintaining quality assurance across our healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine quality assurance tests on all radiation therapy equipment and imaging devices.
- Collaborate with medical teams, including radiologists and oncologists, to develop treatment plans and ensure accurate dose calculation.
- Oversee the implementation of safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in the calibration and maintenance of therapeutic equipment.
- Provide training and support to technical staff and other healthcare professionals on the operation and safety of medical devices.
- Remain current with advancements in medical physics and technology, applying this knowledge to improve patient care.
- Document and report findings, contributing to clinical and operational reviews.
Essential Qualifications
- ABR Certification in Medical Physics.
- At least 2 years of post-certification experience as an ABR-certified physicist.
- No employment gaps in education or prior organizations; stability in employment history is mandatory.
Desired Experience
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting as a Medical Physicist.
- Demonstrated ability in quality assurance practices related to medical physics.
Salary
The salary range for this position is between £150,000 and £230,000 annually. The exact salary will be determined based on the candidate's interview performance and skill set. Candidates are encouraged to share their salary expectations during the interview process without mentioning the upper limit.
