Due to growth, we are currently seeking to add a Creative Media Specialist to our exceptional marketing team. Do you love using media to tell a story, inspire emotion, and educate your audience? Are you looking to join a fun and collaborative team that uses integrated marketing campaigns to promote our brand and help our clients? If so, this role is perfect for you. You will be in charge of managing and executing the media elements for our campaigns, from brainstorming ideas with our campaign specialist to polishing the final product. You will work closely with our marketing and business development teams to tell our stories and showcase our services. A typical day might involve hosting a podcast interview with an industry expert, editing a video testimonial from a happy customer, creating printable materials for our sales team, or designing a shareable social media graphic.

To thrive in this role, you should be a talented graphic designer with a solid background in video production and editing. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other design tools is a must, along with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once. We’re looking for someone who excels in communication and collaboration, with a creative vision that resonates with our brand goals.

Responsibilities

  • Graphic Design:
    • Support the creation and implementation of graphics that are on brand through multiple forms of media: print, digital, social, and web
    • Ensure consistent visual identity
    • Develop creative concepts for business marketing needs both externally and internally
    • Editing digital photos and videos
    • Testing graphics across different media
    • Creating visual elements like logos, illustrations, and original images to convey a message
    • Selecting colors, images, and typefaces to design layouts for websites and printed pages
    • Work through various media formats to produce promotional materials for print, video, social media, presentations, ads, blogs, and newsletters.
    • Collaborate with marketing and cross-departmental teams to develop and execute creative campaigns that align with Charles IT’s brand objectives.
    • Incorporate feedback into final designs
  • Video Production:
    • Capture high-quality video footage using professional-grade cameras and equipment
    • Manage all video production equipment (including software, cameras, and accessories).
    • Pitch video ideas and collaborate with content writer on scripts
    • Keep production running smoothly and ensure video subject is comfortable and engaged in front of the camera
    • Work with marketing team to strategically align video content with larger marketing campaigns
    • Work collaboratively with Social Media Coordinator to produce Chatting with Charles series.
    • Manage all video post-production, including editing and publishing all video content.
    • Capture and manage all [internal and external] event and office videography.
  • Podcast Production
    • Manage all podcast production equipment (including software and sound).
    • Manage podcast projects in ConnectWise.
    • Work collaboratively with the Business Development Manager to select speakers and strategically align podcast reach with business development initiatives.
    • Be willing and able to host podcast.
    • Manage post-production process, including editing and publishing podcast content.
    • Work collaboratively with team members for podcast promotion.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of design experience, preferably in a business or agency setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field (or equivalent graphic design and video production experience at a large organization, public relations agency or media enterprise
  • Portfolio of previous graphic design and video work is required.
  • Excellent verbal communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong understanding of visual design principles, typography, color theory, and layout
  • Able to interact professionally with a wide variety of photography and video subjects.
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage a schedule to meet deadlines.
  • It is not required but experience and comfort in front of the camera is preferred.
  • Ability to shape videos that convey information in a clear and engaging way
  • Experience in animated videos, as well as live action, is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of lighting and sound setup
  • Experience in video production and editing with interest in expanding this skillset, with a portfolio of work that showcases your skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro) and other design software.
  • Effective communication and project management skills
  • Strong creative vision and ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Experience in podcast, digital, or broadcast production is an advantage.
  • Experience in photography and videography is preferred.
  • Ability to conduct engaging interviews and conversations
  • Familiarity with audio recording and editing tools/software
  • Commitment to continually growing skills and adapting to new technologies as needed.

  • Note: Some travel and after-hour events may be required as part of the role
