Medical Research Coordinator
Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our dermatology research team as a Research Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating various research projects within the practice encompassing medical and cosmetic dermatology and ensuring smooth execution from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and oversee all aspects of research projects, including recruitment, participant enrollment, data collection, and follow-up procedures.
2. Collaborate with principal investigators, research assistants, and other team members to develop research protocols, study timelines, and data management plans.
3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of research activities, including regulatory documents, informed consent forms, and study documentation.
4. Assist in the preparation and submission of research grant proposals, ethics applications, and regulatory approvals as required
5. Organize and facilitate research meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and minutes documentation.
6. Liaise with study participants, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and adherence to study protocols.
7. Perform literature reviews, data analysis, and interpretation to support ongoing research initiatives.
8. Monitor study progress, identify potential issues or deviations from protocol, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
9. Contribute to the dissemination of research findings through presentations, publications, and conference participation.
10. Stay informed about advancements in dermatology research, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards to ensure compliance and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a related field (e.g., biology, life sciences, public health).
- Previous experience in clinical research coordination
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management software.
- Familiarity with research ethics, regulatory requirements, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
