Key Responsibilities
  1. Credentialing and Compliance:

    • Coordinate the credentialing and recredentialing process for medical staff.
    • Verify medical licenses, certifications, and references to ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
  2. Medical Staff Support:

    • Serve as a liaison between the medical staff and administration, ensuring effective communication.
    • Assist in maintaining updated and accurate records for medical staff appointments and reappointments.
  3. Committee Coordination:

    • Organize medical staff meetings, including preparing agendas, minutes, and reports.
    • Ensure compliance with bylaws, policies, and procedures related to committee operations.
  4. Data Management:

    • Maintain and update the credentialing database with provider information.
    • Generate reports for audits and internal reviews.
  5. Administrative Excellence:

    • Provide administrative support to medical staff leadership as needed.
    • Address inquiries and resolve issues related to medical staff processes.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in medical staff coordination or credentialing in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards, including Joint Commission and NCQA requirements.
  • Proficiency with credentialing software and databases.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
