Medical Technologist - Medical Technologist Weekly Pay $1368 - $1568 Shift Shift 12 Hour Night Shifts Per Week 3 Scheduled Hours 36 Start Date 06/05/2026 End Date 09/04/2026 Duration 13 Week(s) Job Description The Medical Lab Technologist performs laboratory tests and procedures under the supervision of the Assistant Laboratory Director and Laboratory Director. This role involves working across various sections of the laboratory, including Hematology, Microbiology, Serology, Blood Gas/Point of Care, Chemistry, and Blood Bank, while ensuring accuracy and adherence to established standards. Responsibilities Perform laboratory tests in various sections including hematology, coagulation, chemistry, blood gas, serology, blood bank, and microbiology. Conduct weekly and monthly maintenance on section analyzers and manage supply inventory. Assist in implementing new analyzers by validating test results and training colleagues. Perform quality control tests to ensure laboratory results are within established ranges. Analyze quality control data and take corrective actions when necessary. Call critical test results to physicians or nurses immediately according to established criteria. Conduct in-service training for laboratory personnel and students, focusing on procedures and clinical applications. Document all findings, maintenance checks, and any corrective actions taken. Maintain a clean and orderly work area and ensure compliance with safety practices. Assist with specimen collection and processing duties as needed. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Two-year Medical Laboratory Technician degree or four-year degree from an accredited program. MT AAB certification or equivalent required within one year of hire. ASCP certification or equivalent is required. 1+ years of related work experience preferred. Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail are required. Schedule This position requires working 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.
