Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Shifts may be needed for day or night, with on-call shifts required as part of 24-hour laboratory coverage. Job Description Under minimal supervision, the Medical Technologist applies advanced technical skills and seasoned judgment to independently provide a full range of sample test analyses and laboratory services. The role involves performing CLIA defined high complexity testing, handling a diverse patient population including infants, children, and geriatrics. Responsibilities Perform all levels of high complexity testing and evaluate test results for accuracy. Resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with quality control standards. Develop and review department procedures using CLSI format. Train new employees and provide ongoing education and support to laboratory staff. Assist with inventory management and ensure adequate supply levels. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field. One year of progressive clinical experience or a hospital internship after obtaining the degree. Certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (AMT) or equivalent.
