Position: Medical Technologist (Allied) Immediate Opportunity!

Pay Rate: $65/hr

Duration: 13 weeks contract

Shift: 8hr Days

Guarantee Hours: 40

Job Summary:

As a Medical Technologist, you will perform laboratory tests essential to diagnose, treat, and monitor patient health. This includes analyzing blood, tissues, and other bodily specimens to produce accurate and timely results that support physicians in diagnosing conditions and managing patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform complex laboratory procedures, including hematology, microbiology, immunology, chemistry, and transfusion services.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment, ensuring calibration and quality control standards are met.
• Collect, prepare, and examine specimens following laboratory protocols to ensure safety and accuracy.
• Interpret and analyze test results, accurately documenting findings within the laboratory information system.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and quality standards, complying with all regulatory requirements and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field (required).
• Certification: ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or equivalent certification (required or must obtain within a specified timeframe upon hire).
• Experience: 1+ years grossing experience REQUIRED.
• Skills: Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, proficiency with lab equipment, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in lab safety practices.
• License: Current NYS license as Medical Technologist (MT).
