Senior Technical SpecialistServes as a senior technical specialist responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of medium voltage electrical distribution systems supporting government and mission-critical operations. This role helps ensure reliable electrical power across maintenance shops, operational areas, support facilities, and other controlled-access environments.Responsibilities:Install, modify, maintain, and troubleshoot medium voltage electrical distribution systems (1 kV to 35 kV) including switchgear, reclosers, transformers, protective devices, and control equipment.Perform medium voltage cable terminations, splicing, and stress cone installations in accordance with industry standards and applicable safety directives.Energize, de-energize, isolate, and ground medium voltage circuits following established switching procedures and safety protocols.Interpret electrical schematics, as-built drawings, one-line diagrams, and engineering specifications for facility distribution systems.Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on medium voltage protective devices and controls, including switches, breakers, reclosers, and relays, to ensure electrical system reliability.Coordinate with operations leadership and safety personnel to plan outages, switching orders, and electrical maintenance activities that impact mission operations.Maintain and update system test records, splicing documentation, and certification logs for all electrical tasks and inspections.
