We are looking for a Member Consultant II who will deliver a seamless and high-quality member experience, provide expert financial services, and support community financial wellness. PAY RANGE Target Pay Range: $26.00–$32.12 hourly. Compensation decisions are based on relevant job‑related skills, experience, and education. Performance‑based incentives are available and vary by role. BENEFITS 401(k) Company Match (up to 3%) – 4% annual contribution to your 401(k) by BECU Medical, Dental and Vision (family contributions as well) PTO Program + Exchange Program Tuition Reimbursement Program BECU Cares volunteer time off + donation match IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE As a Member Consultant II, you will be a subject‑matter expert who identifies, diagnoses, and resolves members’ financial needs, refers them to specialized services, and provides consistent, excellent customer service. WHAT YOU’LL DO Provide exceptional member experience and sales consultation in business services, consumer lending, deposit servicing, IRA, POA, and Fiduciary accounts. Sign all line and loan documents that originate through outbound/inbound call center, ensuring member needs are met. Assist the community with financial wellness programs—budgeting, debt management, or access to financial planning resources. Contribute to compensation transparency by sharing fair and equitable pay practices. ABOUT THIS ROLE & POD EXPECTATIONS The role is part of a pod (a group of nearby branches) within BECU’s North District. Additional details will be provided during the hiring process. Pod Branches: Bellingham, Burlington (location support based on business needs) Rotation Required: work across all pod branches for up to the first year or more. One‑Year Commitment: remain in this role and schedule for a minimum of one year before pursuing other opportunities within BECU. Training: 12‑week in‑house program that includes travel to the Tukwila Financial Center. Travel Required: commute between branches and training location. Flexible shifts: Monday–Friday, 8:00AM–6:30PM with up to 3 Saturdays per month (8:30AM–1:30PM). QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience. Minimum two years of experience in a sales‑oriented, financial, or retail environment. Desired Qualifications One year of experience in a financial institution. Spanish language fluency highly desirable. Thorough understanding of the sales process and ability to manage a sales pipeline efficiently. Strong proficiency with learning new systems and programs; ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously. Ability to complete the 12‑week in‑house training program after hire. Comprehensive understanding of credit union objectives, products, and services. Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to membership, deposit, and loan products. Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Problem‑resolution, negotiating, organization, multi‑tasking, and peer‑coaching skills. Ability to work flexible shifts.
