About the Role

We are committed to transforming lives and setting the standard for quality mental health care within correctional facilities. We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Therapist (Mental Health Coordinator) to provide clinical, non-medical psychological services to incarcerated individuals.

This role plays a critical part in mental health assessment, treatment planning, counseling, and crisis intervention, helping individuals work toward stabilization, rehabilitation, and long-term improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health screenings and assessments through clinical interviews and record reviews

  • Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on clinical needs and functional levels

  • Provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and therapeutic services

  • Deliver emergency mental health care and support during crisis situations

  • Apply current psychological counseling theories and evidence-based practices in treatment

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation

  • Ensure compliance with professional standards, ethical guidelines, and facility policies

Qualifications
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in:

    • Social Work

    • Psychology

    • Mental Health Counseling

    • Or a related clinical discipline

  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, including 2 years in a comparable role

  • Active and valid California licensure:

    • LCSW, LPC, or LMFT (required)

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a correctional environment with diverse and complex populations
