HIGHLIGHTS
Location: Cupertino, CA (Onsite) 
Position Type: Contract
Hourly / Salary: BOE
Residency Status: US Citizen or Green Card Holder ONLY

  

Overview: 


On site support for hazardous material operations in our new

additive manufacturing lab, internally called the AM COE. This is

anticipated to be a full time on site support, 5 days a week, not a

hybrid work model.

• Manage all material orders, storage, and disposal. Primary material will be fine Ti

powder.

• Load, unload and clean powder before and after runs. Store used powder and

condensate in safe way and insure safe disposal.

• Manage clean up of powder spills including SOP’s

• Maintain inventory, handling, and disposal of chemical etchants in metallography /

metrology lab

• Maintain inventory of small supplies and PPE

• Insure safe handling practices throughout the lab in alignment with our client’s EH&S.

Write SOPs for safe handling and equipment usage. Produce signage and

procedures as needed. Train users of the lab to follow all safety PPE, SOPs and

best practices.

 

Key qualifications:

• Someone with hazardous materials training, or ability to receive it from ACT before

starting in the lab.

• Technical degree preferred.

• Self starter, able to lift up to 50lbs regularly, operate a forklift, and able to be

responsible for directing others in safe handling of materials, coordinate with ACT

for hazardous material waste removal.

• Preferably with some mechanical skills to do light modification of fixtures and parts

with manual mill, drill press, lathe, band saw, etc
