Schedule: 1st Shift - Mon Fri 6:00 AM 4:30 PM; Sat 6:00 AM 12:30 PM

Position Summary:
Lead the polishing/grinding team to achieve required finishes on stainless and other metals for food-grade machinery. Seeking a finishing expert with 3+ years of supervisory responsibility who can raise quality, safety, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, assign, and train finishers/grinders; verify finish quality per spec/visual standards.

• Perform hands-on polishing/grinding as needed; approve first-article finish and in-process checks.

• Set daily priorities; monitor productivity, scrap/rework, and adherence to safety procedures.

• Collaborate with Weld/Assembly/Production to keep work moving; problem-solve surface/fit issues.

• Manage media/consumables, tooling, and equipment care; enforce 5S and proper handling.

• Drive continuous improvement in finish consistency, takt adherence, and ergonomic safety.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years metal finishing (polishing/grinding, stainless preferred); 3+ years team leadership.

• Strong knowledge of finishing tools, abrasives, and techniques; able to read prints and finish callouts.

• Excellent communication, organization, and coaching skills; safety- and quality-driven.
