Shift Type/Shift Times/Hours/Day: Days, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 10
Shift Notes: 10 Hour Days (40 Hour Guarantee)
Weekend Requirements: Every Third
On-Call Requirements: 1-2 nights/week & every 3rd weekend
COVID Vaccination: COVID vaccinations are not required, but strongly encouraged.
Travel Policy: Candidates' Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates - 35-mile radius restriction)
Dress Code: Hospital-Provided Scrubs
Summary: This individual fills the role of surgical technologist II in the Operating Room. They understand and demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures. Assure all supplies and equipment are available for the procedure and in working condition. Confirm and/or assemble sterile instruments for use correctly. Anticipate the needs of the surgeon. They assist in keeping an accurate account of drugs, sharps, and instruments. They are responsible for maintaining and monitoring the sterile field.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS- At least 5 years of experience - Required
- Open Heart Experience - Required
- BLS (AHA) and NBSTSA - Required
- Tertiary care center and/or designated level I or II trauma center experience - Required
- Travel experience - Highly Preferred
- COVID VACCINE REQUIRED
- We will want the candidate to have experience in a tertiary care center and or designated level I or II trauma center. I think we would consider level III but would have to ask the candidate some additional questions about their experience.
