Shift Notes: 5x8's - 40 Hour Guarantee
Weekend Requirements: One Weekend Per Month Rotation

Travel Policy: Candidates' Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates - 50-mile radius restriction)

Coverage Area: 6 counties, typically one county per OT

Occupational Therapist (OT) Position Summary:
This position delegates responsibility to the Occupational Therapist Assistant and Aides. Activities of this position are patient-focused and utilize assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation following occupational therapy standards, physician orders, and governing policies and procedures.
A Day in the Life as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- (20%)* Evaluates the patient's function by performing formal/informal testing measures to determine the skeletal, neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular status, developmental, social, and cognitive functions.
- (20%)* Develop a goal-specific treatment regime based on assessment data and the patient's tolerance to carry out the treatment plan as prescribed.
- (20%)* Submits a written treatment regime to be included as part of the plan of treatment authorized by and coordinated with the physician. Updates plan of care as needed to reflect changes in patient status. Co-signs verbal orders received by occupational therapist assistant as necessary.
- (20%)* Devises a schedule of treatment, which is frequency and duration specific to be discussed with patient/family/caregiver and coordinated with clinical support staff.
- (20%)* Educates patient, family, and/or caregiver regarding pathology or condition, patient alternatives, prognosis, and rationale for treatment through forms of rest, exercise, modalities, and other indicated interventions.
- Active Drivers License, Auto-Insurance, Reliable Vehicle, and clean DMV Report - Required
- At least one year of Home Care experience - Required
- Mostly Outpatient w/ Acute Care
- Ortho, Neuro, Peds Experience - Required
