About the job Microsoft Azure Security Administrator We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Azure Security Administrator. This position is a full time REMOTE opportunity offering a fun, flexible environment with generous pay and profit sharing. Candidates can be located anywhere in the US, but preference will be given to those residing in the Quad Cities, Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, or Springfield, MO area. What you will be doing.... The Microsoft Azure Security Administrator position will be responsible for the implementation, administration, and continual improvement of the security solutions identified in the organization's security program to ensure that all information assets and associated technology, applications, systems, infrastructure and processes are adequately protected in the digital ecosystem in which the organization operates. The Microsoft Azure Security Administrator will be responsible for day-to-day security operations including supporting and maintaining a wide range of information security products that monitor and provide compliance across the digital assets owned, controlled and/or processed by the organization. The Microsoft Azure Security Administrator will take direction from the IT Security Administration Manager and will work jointly with other Security Engineers/Administrators along with other operational teams and Enterprise Architects to coordinate, facilitate and effectively implement and maintain the compliance of the organization's security policies and procedures. Experience you bring to the table... BA /BS degree with a minimum of 8 years in a combination of information security and IT systems administration. Must be knowledgeable with the operation, maintenance and functionality of Azure Security Technologies, firewalls and endpoint security systems. The ideal candidate is dedicated and passionate about cyber security technologies and is constantly learning and evolving to have awareness of current hacking techniques and cybercrime and keeps pace with the industry's latest trends to address these threats. This position requires a demonstrated track record of competency in cyber security administration and operations ideally with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in financial services, insurance, healthcare, or a highly regulated environment. At least three years of hands-on working experience with Microsoft products in the following categories Cloud Security, O365, Azure AD, Azure Identities and governance, Identity and Access Management, Microsoft Azure Sentinel, Azure Information Protect, Cloud App Security, MS Defender, and Endpoint Security. At least one Microsoft security solution certification is highly desired, including Microsoft 365 Certified, Security Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate, or Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Associate.
