Mid-Level Backend Developer (AWS) Washington D.C. Metro Area (Hybrid) Mid-Level Backend Developer (AWS), #1075 Location: Washington D.C. Metro Area (Hybrid) Clearance: US citizenship required. Must have the ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust What You'll Be Doing: As a Mid-Level Application Developer, you will design, develop, test, and maintain modern web and mobile applications using React, React Native, JavaScript/TypeScript, AWS services, RESTful APIs, and relational and non-relational databases. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions, troubleshoot and optimize application performance, and contribute to technical design discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement efforts. Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree required. At least 5 years of professional experience in a development environment At least 3 years of experience with JavaScript & React UI At least 3 years of experience developing back-end services with Node.js. At least 2 years of experience working with AWS Cloud Tools At least 1 year of experience in writing SQL and working with relational database structures Ability to understand complex business processes and how they relate to the systems supporting them Ability to research problems, identify a root cause, and recommend and implement a solution Aptitude for picking up technology quickly, along with a desire to learn and progress Good communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to collaborate with team members to ensure client needs and expectations are met or exceeded Preferred Skills and Experience: Experience with Agile and DevOps tools, such as Git, Jenkins (preferred) Experience with AWS Lambda or DynamoDB (preferred) Experience with the SPA concept and libraries (preferred) ICE cleared preferred USCIS, CBP, or Top Secret clearance preferred Any other DHS clearance preferred Any other government clearance preferred Our estimated salary range for this position is $72,000 - $115,000. This presented salary range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The offered salary is based on education, experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements appropriate to the role. *Salary could fall outside of this range.
