Overview DESIGN PORTFOLIO IS REQUIRED WITH APPLICATION. Spire Communications is hiring a full-time mid-level graphic designer with demonstrated expertise in graphic design, infographics, and visual storytelling to support communications for the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF). This role will translate complex scientific and policy information into clear, visually compelling, accessible, and engaging content across digital, print, and multimedia platforms. The designer will support a broad range of design deliverables from concept through final production, including press-related materials, balancing self-directed project work with collaboration across teams and stakeholders. This position is an exceptional opportunity to help translate complex scientific research into compelling visual content that reaches the public, policymakers, and the research community. About Spire Communications Spire Communications is a woman-owned strategic communications and creative firm based in Alexandria, VA that supports science, technology, and engineering organizations within the government and private sectors. Work Arrangement This position is hybrid, with potential to be fully onsite, based at the client site in Alexandria, VA. Responsibilities Translate complex scientific and policy information into clear, visually compelling, accessible content across digital, print, and multimedia platforms. Support a broad range of design deliverables from concept through final production, including press-related materials, balancing self-directed project work with collaboration across teams and stakeholders. Contribute to visual storytelling and infographics to support NSF communications.
