Maintenance Engineering TechThe Maintenance Engineering Tech position requires a vast background in high-end automation troubleshooting and programming to ensure industrial machinery and equipment runs smoothly and reliably. The Technician regularly inspects buildings, equipment, and techniques to identify any issues, repairs faulty equipment and damaged structures, and performs preventative maintenance as needed. The Technician troubleshoots and makes repairs based on working knowledge of complex automation systems and has working knowledge of Industrial Robotics Systems with the ability to learn modern technologies that are implemented in the future. Technicians will also build a strong working knowledge of the existing Fiber Laser Cutting Systems, Automated Powder Paint Application System, and numerous types of PLC controlled equipment.Essential FunctionsTroubleshoots and programs complex electrical systems.Utilizes mechanical, electrical, and controls schematics.Troubleshoots complex Automation Control Systems.Performs PLC Programming and Automation Controls.Troubleshoots and repairs complex pneumatic systems.Repairs and maintains building systems.Performs preventive maintenance as required.All other duties as assigned.Experience/QualificationsMinimum degree required: Trade, Tech or Vocational EducationPreferred degree: Bachelor's DegreeYears of experience: 3 to 5 years in Controls Engineering, PLC Programming, and Industrial Robotics.Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.Ongoing verification of driving eligibility will be conducted to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.Must be at least 21 years old to qualify for this position.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilityStrong background and understanding of complex electrical systems.Ability to read and use Mechanical, Electrical, and Controls SchematicsExperience in troubleshooting complex Automation Control SystemsProficient in PLC Programming and Automation ControlsWorking knowledge of Industrial Robotics SystemsAbility to troubleshoot and repair complex pneumatic systemsHave a solid understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systemsMust have extensive knowledge of Automation Control SystemsPLC Programming experience requiredAbility to troubleshoot and repair complex Automation Controls SystemsStrong working knowledge of AC and DC Electrical systemsIndustrial Robotics experience requiredTravel RequirementsNAPhysical RequirementsRegular computer work, walking and standingOccasional sittingOccasional lifting up to 50lbsAbility to work in all weather conditionsAbility to stoop, crawl, or kneel while working on equipmentAbility to work at heights higher than floor levelAbility to stand for extended amounts of timeWork EnvironmentOutside and insideExtreme heatExtreme humidityExtreme noise, intermittentDustFumes, smoke, or gassesSolvents (degreasing agents)Slippery or uneven walking surfacesIndependent JudgementPerforms duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives.
