Middle and Upper School History Teacher Apply
WELCOME TO FLORIDAS MOST INNOVATIVE SCHOOL
We are seeking a full-time, middle and upper school history instructor to teach the following classes: Transitions (a mandatory, 9th grade fall semester class, taught pass/fail, that helps students with the academic and social/emotional transition to high school), 9th grade Foundations of Historical Thinking: A Big History Approach (during the spring semester), and a middle school, year-long, American history-based course. Qualified candidates should have middle and upper school experience, as well as a keen interest in working with students making the transition from middle to high school. Applicants should also be proficient in their discipline, interested in the social and developmental needs of younger adolescents, facile with an iPad, and able to contribute to extracurricular activities. Candidates should possess a bachelor's and/or advanced degree in history, social studies, social studies education, or a related field.
