Performance Responsibilities / Essential Functions: Use instructional materials and techniques to provide student achievement opportunities. Demonstrate knowledge of developmental practices for young children. Maintain accurate, neat records: class lists, attendance, health records, roll book, report cards, permanent folders. Maintain classroom appearance and report unsafe conditions; develop and implement effective classroom management. Complete reports, assignments, and records promptly. Collect lunch and/or activity monies when needed. Plan and prepare lessons, submitting plans weekly. Report regularly and punctually to assigned locations. Notify principal of impending absence. Provide substitutes with adequate plans and materials. Maintain books and equipment assigned to the class. Know methods, programs, curriculum guides, procedure bulletins, and resources. Use diagnostic methods for placement. Exhibit self‑control and decorum for student emulation. Accommodate individual differences. Evaluate student progress and plan accordingly.
