Position Overview
Support enterprise web middleware technologies and application infrastructure in a highly automated, cloud-enabled environment.
Onboard applications, manage middleware platforms, support CI/CD initiatives, administer SSL certificate lifecycles.
Ensure reliability, performance, and security of critical systems.
Utilize Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and AWS.
Work collaboratively with developers, operations, and security teams.
Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities
Support the Web Middleware Technology team with onboarding new applications using automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.
Manage SSL certificates—creation, renewal, inventory, revocation.
Troubleshoot and resolve application and middleware issues, focusing on Apache Tomcat.
Design, develop, and deploy infrastructure using Chef, Ansible, Jenkins, Git.
Install, configure, and maintain middleware across dev/test/prod.
Leverage OpenShift and container technology for application deployment.
Support and administer cloud infrastructure on AWS.
Apply security patches and updates timely.
Collaborate with teams to resolve technical issues.
Monitor middleware, set performance standards.
Enhance software and infrastructure components.
Analyze metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
Support change management, deployment, and production releases.
Develop and maintain documentation, operational runbooks, configuration standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
4+ years supporting middleware platforms, DevOps engineering, systems administration, or infrastructure automation.
Hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting:
Apache Tomcat
IBM WebSphere
Red Hat JBoss EAP
Experience implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines in enterprise environments.
Strong experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools:
Chef
Ansible
Terraform
Puppet
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies:
Docker
Kubernetes
Red Hat OpenShift
Knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Experience with SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle management.
Understanding of enterprise security practices.
Strong knowledge of Linux administration (RHEL, Bash, Python, JavaScript).
Experience with version control platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem solving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise middleware environments.
Experience with streaming and messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka.
Familiarity with Maven and Gradle build management.
Experience working within Agile or DevOps operating models.
Exposure to multi-cloud environments including Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Knowledge of application performance monitoring and capacity planning.
Experience with regulated or highly governed enterprise environments.
