Job Description Mid-Level Civil Litigation Associate Location: Arlington or Manassas, VA | Type: Full-Time | Experience: 3–6 Years+ About Us We're a growing practice that takes its culture as seriously as its caseload. The Role We're bringing on a mid-level associate to join our civil litigation team. You'll work directly with partners and senior associates on a varied caseload spanning contract disputes, tort claims, property matters, and general civil matters. You'll have real responsibility from day one. This isn't a document-review position and you'll have the support and mentorship to run with it. What You'll Do Manage and advance an active civil litigation caseload from pleadings through trial Draft motions, briefs, discovery, and correspondence with genuine ownership over your work product Conduct depositions, appear at hearings, and participate in mediations and settlement conferences Collaborate closely with partners and colleagues on strategy and case development Supervise and mentor junior associates and paralegals where appropriate Build and maintain client relationships with professionalism and care What We're Looking For J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission in Virginia 3–6 years of civil litigation experience, ideally in a firm setting Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills Comfort managing multiple matters with competing deadlines Someone who genuinely enjoys the collaborative side of legal practice, sharing ideas, asking questions, and giving others credit A self-starter who takes initiative without needing to be micromanaged What We Offer Competitive compensation commensurate with experience Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits 401(k) with firm contribution Generous PTO and paid bar dues CLE support and dedicated professional development time A real mentorship structure A team that actually enjoys working together (we know everyone says this; we mean it) To Apply Send your resume, a writing sample, and a brief cover letter for us to review.
