*this is on onsite role in KY (onsite 3 days a week) and will offer relocation assistance if you are not local. This role is not remote.


Description:

The Project Manager’s role is to drive project execution and be the customer-facing representative for mission-critical military and defense-related manufacturing projects.


Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for developing, planning, and overseeing programs and projects to ensure successful execution (scope, schedule, budget)
  • Assist Sales Team in developing and determining the project’s scope and objectives as well as proposals and estimates
  • Plan and coordinate project resources, review budgets, monitor progress, and keep key stakeholders (internal team, customer, subcontractors, suppliers, etc.) informed
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to coordinate the manufacture of complex and unique projects
  • Conduct quality audits and inspections throughout manufacturing process
  • Manage third-party consulting firms and contractors
  • Become an expert with product and industry standards and regulations
  • Balance the best interest of Armag and project success in coordination with Armag team and customer (conflict resolution, solution development, problem solving, etc.)
  • The position may require up to 25% travel


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
  • At least 2+ years experience managing projects
  • Prefer experience managing construction or manufacturing projects
  • Familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Ability to effectively manage time addressing multiple project needs
  • Proven leadership skills, team work, customer service, and creativity
  • Critical thinking, problem solving/analysis, and decision making
  • PMP certification desirable
  • Military experience desirable
