Job Title: Minerals Mine Worker/Heavy Equipment Operator

Location: Battle Mountain, NV 89820 (Local candidates only)

Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate: XX25 XX27XX

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to operate and maintain large earth-moving equipment in a strip-mining environment. This role requires safe operation, basic equipment servicing, and support of maintenance activities while following strict HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, off-road trucks, graders, and rock drills
  • Push waste material and ore dump safely and efficiently
  • Maintain records for equipment loads, fueling, and basic maintenance
  • Perform routine operational maintenance (greasing, fueling, cleaning, inspections)
  • Clean equipment tracks, buckets, and operator cabs
  • Assist mechanics with mechanical repairs when needed
  • Service equipment by changing lubricants, filters, and wear parts
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Frequently climb on and off heavy equipment during shifts
  • Maintain focus during repetitive operating cycles for extended periods
  • Lift and handle heavy tools and maintenance equipment
  • Perform repetitive hand and arm movements
  • Work rotating shifts, including afternoon and graveyard shifts

HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Requirements

  • Follow all safety regulations, procedures, and company guidelines
  • Perform work safely and in an environmentally responsible manner
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions or practices
  • Take immediate action when unsafe conditions are observed
  • Participate in required safety training and HSE programs
  • Report injuries, near-misses, property damage, and hazards promptly
