The company's main business is supply chain management and logistics services, logistics platform development and operation. Resources: Commodity procurement and supply business mainly feature plastic chemicals, metal minerals, agricultural products, forest products and mechanical and electrical products, such as five general resins, EVA, fish meal, whey powder, palm oil, latex, steel, non-ferrous metals, automobiles, etc.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics & Export Import Manager to join our client, part of a prestigious lineage, being backed by Fortune Global 500 company, which boast extensive experience in supply chain and manufacturing. Specifically, our project, located in an area rich in laterite nickel ore reserves, is set to produce 2.5 million tons of stainless steel billet and slab annually. As Logistics & Export Import Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the end-to-end logistics processes and ensure the smooth operations of export and import activities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee export operations, ensuring vigilant monitoring of revenue generation and cash flow.
- Streamline the processing of shipping documents, ensuring timely submission to banks in alignment with vessel ETDs.
- Generate and furnish insightful market data and research to inform and optimize procurement strategies.
- Collaborate with buyers on technical aspects, facilitating seamless commodity trading transactions.
- Establish and maintain robust controls to ensure positive and constructive relationships with traders.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with traders and the central bank, ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of the Integrated Foreign Exchange Monitoring System (Simodis/Sistem Informasi Monitoring Devisa terIntegrasi Seketika).
- Ensure the delivery of high-caliber services both internally within the organization and externally with vendors.
- Lead and guide the development of strategic plans for logistics, fostering alignment with organizational goals.
- Design and implement efficient and effective procedures and standards for loading/unloading, routing, and fleet management.
- Actively monitor, coordinate, and facilitate export-import operations, ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations and legal standards.
- Diligently review and validate export-import reports submitted to regulatory authorities for accuracy and completeness.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues arising from external or internal departments, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics and export-import management, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is mandatory as it is required to liaise with key stakeholders.
- Open for any industry, especially manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and documentation.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data related to logistics operations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
