Mission Systems Integration Engineer Location: China Lake, CA — Naval Air Warfare Center – Weapons Division. The role focuses on developing engineering solutions for the F/A‑18 Super Hornet and EA‑18G Growler, enhancing existing systems and architecting new ones to advance the fighter at the heart of the US Navy’s air wing. Position Responsibilities Work with customer teams to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware, and software designs and interface specifications. Develop test plans to verify system requirements and system‑of‑systems performance. Perform lab and ground tests to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Provide support of fielded hardware and software throughout the product lifecycle. Track risks, issues, opportunities, tools, and technology readiness. Basic Qualifications (Required) Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a non‑US equivalent directly related to the work. 5+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and technical education. Preferred Qualifications (Desired) Electrical engineering experience. Experience in avionics, electrical, and/or mission systems roles. Experience developing or integrating avionics or mission systems. Experience in Agile software development and JIRA. Experience managing projects and using standard project management tools. Conflict of Interest Successful candidates must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process. Relocation Relocation may be offered based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation is available for eligible internal candidates. Pay & Benefits Salary range: $119,850–$162,150, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include competitive base pay, variable compensation, health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, and paid and unpaid time away from work. Export Control Requirements U.S. Person required; the position is U.S. based. Security Clearance Requires obtaining a U.S. Security Clearance (interim and/or final Top Secret) and program access clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.
