Xactly Restoration Recruiters has an elite client looking for an experienced Mitigation and Reconstruction Estimator to join their team and serve the 5 boroughs of New York City.

Duties

The Mitigation & Reconstruction Estimator oversees a wide range of responsibilities to successfully secure, bid, and price restoration and construction projects. This role involves creating accurate scopes of work, delivering consistent and comprehensive estimates, and maintaining exceptional service standards in interactions with customers, clients, adjusters, consultants, and service providers.

Key duties include estimating and selling mitigation and reconstruction projects; conducting detailed site inspections; documenting losses with precise measurements, notes, and
photographs; estimating project costs using Xactimate; negotiating with insurance carrier representatives; and addressing the scope, progress, and budget issues with team.

• Estimating, selling, and overseeing restoration projects, including mitigation and reconstruction services.
• Responding to property damage emergency calls and conducting site inspections.
• Documenting losses with precision through measurements, notes, and photographs.
• Estimating project costs using Xactimate and submitting estimates promptly as per company standards.
• Negotiating costs and settlements with insurance carrier representatives.
• Securing signatures, closing jobs, and upselling project services.
• Maintaining clear communication with production/project managers, addressing issues affecting schedules, budgets, and project progress.
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, insurance adjusters, and claim representatives.
• Participating in an on-call schedule as needed to respond to emergency situations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of disaster restoration estimating experience, both residential and commercial, including water, storm, fire, smoke, mold/asbestos, contents, and large loss projects.
• 2+ years of structure/reconstruction experience (preferred).
• Proficiency in Xactimate/Xactanalysis software for writing and reading estimates; Symbility a plus.
• Familiarity with, Contractor Connection, PSA, Code Blue, and similar industry platforms (preferred).
• Tech-savvy with strong attention to detail in documentation (measurements, notes, photographs).
• Disaster restoration-related IICRC certifications are a plus.
• Strong ability to liaise with insurance adjusters/reps, especially those with limited construction knowledge.

Salary and Benefits

• Base Salary of $60,000 to $75,000 DOE.
• Potential to earn $100k+ through Commission & Bonuses based on KPI’s.
