Established Restoration and Reconstruction Company is looking for an experienced Restoration Mitigation Crew Chief to join their team and serve throughout Long Island, NY.

The Restoration Mitigation Crew Chief is responsible for responding to water, fire, and contents damage calls for both residential and commercial properties. This person is often the first to enter the structure after a disaster or damage, and must ensure the customer feels confident that their property will be handled with the utmost care.

The Crew Chief must have experience managing jobs, leading technicians on mitigation projects, and assessing losses using moisture detection equipment. They should be skilled in performing various types of mitigation, remediation, and restoration tasks. The role requires strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to communicate professionally with both technicians and clients.


Duties

• Assess and address property damage caused by water, fire, and other incidents, including setting up and monitoring drying equipment and removing damaged materials.
• Lead and work alongside technicians to extract water, clean affected areas, and restore properties to client satisfaction.
• Manage client communication, handle concerns, and ensure timely project execution and documentation using necessary tools and software.
• Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and vehicles, participate in on-call rotations, and collect payments when required.
• Uphold company integrity and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the restoration process.

• 3+ years previous Mitigation Technician experience in the Disaster Restoration industry; Residential & Commercial.
• 3+ years hands on while also leading crews on water, demolition, remediation, cleanup & dry out.
• Multi-skilled in Water Damage, Fire Damage, Contents Cleaning, Mold Remediation, Board Ups, etc.
• IICRC Certification in at least WRT; ASD, AMRT, CDS & FSRT highly preferred.
• Tech savvy and experience with Dash, MICA & Moisture Mapper; Xactimate a plus.
• Ability to handle emergency calls on a 24-hour basis when on call.

• $23 to $28 per hour DOE plus bonus incentives.
