We are seeking a full-time Mixed Animal Veterinarian to join our compassionate, close-knit team. At East County Large and Small Animal Practice, we pride ourselves on providing top-notch medical and surgical care for a wide variety of animals, including performance horses, dogs, cats, and ruminants. Our clinic is fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including in-house and mobile digital radiography, small animal anesthesia machines, portable ultrasounds, and both small and large animal surgery suites. We also offer equine and ruminant haul-in facilities. Each veterinarian is provided with a truck and a fully stocked vet box for ambulatory work.

This position offers a balanced on-call schedule, with large animal-only on-call responsibilities rotated among seven veterinarians. You can expect to be on call one weekend every six weeks and only 2-4 weekdays per month. Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional medical and surgical care to a wide variety of species, from small companion animals to performance horses and ruminants.
• Participate in a shared on-call rotation.
• Perform both in-clinic and ambulatory services using state-of-the-art equipment.
• Educate clients on animal health, wellness, and preventative care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
