- Job Title: Mixer/Extruder Operator

- Main Duties: Operate mixers, extruders and support equipment, perform material handling tasks, perform cleaning and maintenance, operate a forklift truck and Aerial Platform Lift as needed, operate auxiliary equipment, assist in training others, ensure processes and test results are properly documented.
- Competencies Required: Ability to read, write and speak English, basic math skills, ability to identify and solve basic problems, flexibility, good communication skills, basic computer data entry skills.
- Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED), 1 2 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, 1-2 years of experience in the plastic compounding industry or similar environment is preferred, 1 years' experience driving a forklift (sit down) preferred, experience with batch blending and mixing is an advantage.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50lbs, awareness of manufacturing and warehouse environment, ability to utilize PPE, ability to detect color for quality, ability to use and operate equipment controls and hand tools.
- Work Environment: Exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock and vibration, noise level varies from loud in the plant area to quiet in the office areas.
