Shift Notes: Mo, Tu, Wed, Fri: 7a-5:30p (40 Hour Guarantee) - Thursdays off, Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to other clinic sites within the region if needed.
Weekend Requirements: No Weekends
On-Call Requirements: No Call

- MN DHS Net Study & Fingerprinting is required for ALL patient-facing positions
- The client has a strict compliance deadline of 4 pm on the Wednesday before the start - there will be no exceptions.

The Medical Assistant will manage the customer flow throughout the clinic and assist providers in the management and treatment of their customers. Customers come from a variety of backgrounds and various age groups requiring individualized care including infants, children, adolescents, adults, or geriatrics. The focus of the Medical Assistant is on collaborative, supportive, and delegated tasks as described in the Medical Assistant scope of practice. Delegable tasks and competencies are specific to the role of the Supervising Nurse and Supervising Provider and are described by the Minnesota Board of Nursing and the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice. The Medical Assistant receives direction and collaborates with the Clinic Supervisor, Clinic Manager, and Providers to meet the defined goals of the customer, shift, department, and organization. Communication with the health care team related to progress, concerns, questions, or problems that arise is an essential element of the Medical Assistant role.
Submission Requirements- A minimum of 1-year experience in a patient-care setting - Required
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to other clinic sites within the region if needed.
- Pediatric & Primary Care Experience - Preferred
- Strong EPIC and In-Basket Experience - Preferred
- Experience in triaging patient calls, results, and processing refill requests - Preferred
- MA Diploma must be from a program that meets accreditation standards from either CAAHEP or ABHES
- BLS (AHA or ARC) - Required
