Mobile Electronic Technician Apply
The Mobile Electronic Technician will install load tracking video monitoring systems, and collision mitigation systems on commercial vehicles throughout the U.S. This position requires frequent travel. This position will also be responsible for installing and troubleshooting our in-house control system on heavy equipment. The Technician is self-directed with minimal supervision. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Travel to specified location (around the USA) to install load tracking, video monitoring systems, collision mitigation systems and/or diagnose issues with systems on commercial vehicles Diagnose issues with electrical systems Run new electrical harnessing throughout heavy equipment Complete work orders, charge parts, charge labor, and other required documents using computer, manuals, parts book, and maintenance codes Diagnose mechanical problems and performance mechanical repairs and adjustments: PTO, hydraulics, emissions, air conditioning/heating, cab, instruments, brakes, frame, steering, suspension, tires, wheels, drive train, electrical system, engine system, and other components which may need repair assistance Drive service vehicle to location of vehicle Drive vehicles within company property Attend all safety required meetings and perform all work as per OSHA, State and Federal guidelinesOperate a variety of stationary and portable power tools common to mechanics. Sweep, mop, and pick up trash/debris and dispose in dumpster Global Responsibilities: Regular attendance and physical presence at work is an essential function of this position This job may require additional duties not listed above and the employee may be asked to perform those duties to meet business needs Qualifications Education/Specialized Knowledge/Professional Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required Mechanical knowledge Strong electronic and electrical knowledge Experience: 2+ years experience in 12-volt electrical wiring on vehicles 2+ years experience reading vehicle wiring schematics Interest in mechanics, working on a variety of tractors in medium and heavy equipment applications Skills/Abilities: Must be able to commit to Revitalize Mixers value statement Ability to meet behavioral expectations and perform in alignment with Revitalize Mixers guiding principles: Safety, People, Relationship, Performance, and Quality Possess an understanding of service manuals (paper and on-line) for reference, procedures, wiring schematics and torque specs Proficient in using volt/ohm meter and reading schematics to make proper diagnostics and repair Proficient in building custom wire harnesses with Deutsch connectors Ability to use diagnostic computer or read and clear fault codes and diagnose and make efficient repairs following troubleshooting tress Positive work attitude and ability to work closely with other technicians, drivers, management, and vendors to solve problems efficiently Working Conditions Must be able to perform job functions under extreme weather conditions and temperatures Must have manual dexterity and physical agility to be able to spend long hours working beneath a vehicle and lying or standing in awkward positions Work sitting in an automotive garage Potential hazards include dust, diesel, fumes, solvents, oil spills, and electrical equipment within OSHA regulations Wearing proper safety equipment is a shop requirement Physical Requirements Reach up to 24” horizontally at a height of 44” and pull with a force of 55lb Pushing/pulling vertically at a height of 47” with a force of 55lbs Pulling vertically at a height of 80" with a force up to 15lbs Crawling indoors on a smooth surface for 10ft Manually transport heavy truck parts (35lbs to 95lbs) to and from the work area Front carry up to 95lb for 25ft Right and left-hand coordination Utilize a variety of hand tools including wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, and pry bars with right and left-hand grip with a force of 55lbs Pushing/pulling horizontally and vertically at a self-selected height with a force of 100lb Revitalize Mixers has been dedicated to equipment rebuilding in the Midwest since 2018.
