Injection Molding Facility — Presses up to 3,100 Tons

Mold Setter – 1st Shift (7:00 a.m. Start)
Location: Clinton Township, MI
Pay Range: $22 – $25 per hour

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mold Setter to join our 1st shift team at a high-volume injection molding facility operating presses up to 3,100 tons. The Mold Setter will be responsible for completing mold changes, machine setups, and supporting troubleshooting and repair activities to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent production operations.

Responsibilities
• Perform mold changes according to the production schedule and prepare machines for startup.
• Ensure a safe work environment during all mold change activities and communicate effectively with team members.
• Follow standardized procedures for mold changes and recommend improvements to reduce downtime.
• Assist maintenance and electrical teams with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair.
• Support mold makers with tooling maintenance and repairs.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to prioritize safety, product quality, and on-time delivery.
• Monitor and maintain stable process conditions during production runs.
• Participate in new tool trials, setups, and process validation for new programs.
• Work cross-functionally to identify root causes of non-conformances and verify corrective actions.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervision.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; post-secondary or trade schooling is an asset.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with various hand tools.
  • Crane training/experience is an asset.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a mechanically related role.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
