As a Monitor Tech/HUC at MultiCare, you will hone your patient care and monitoring skills, nurture your communications development, and collaborate with the Clinical Director in support of care and delivery of patient services.Responsibilities:Perform receptionist and communications duties on the patient care unitObserve telemetry monitoring and recognition of cardiac dysrhythmiasSupport care delivery and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groupsRegularly utilize your independent decision-making capacities and strong interpersonal skillsCollaborate with Clinical Director and charge nurse for optimal care delivery and patient servicesRequirements:High school graduate or equivalent preferredCompletion of an approved Health Unit Coordinator vocational training course and basic arrhythmia course preferredOne (1) year of patient care experience preferredOne (1) year equivalent clerical experience in a medical setting preferredOn the job Training Provided: Successful completion of rhythm identification training and EKG telemetry competency test (experienced techs may bypass the training by passing competency test)About Good Samaritan Hospital: MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital is a 388-bed acute-care hub serving Puyallup and East Pierce County.
