If you are a skilled communicator and love being the focal communication source, this is the job for you. As a Monitor Tech/HUC at MultiCare, you will hone your patient care and monitoring skills, nurture your communications development, and collaborate with the Clinical Director in support of care and delivery of patient services.ResponsibilitiesPerform receptionist and communications duties on the patient care unitObserve telemetry monitoring and recognition of cardiac dysrhythmiasSupport care delivery and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groupsRegularly utilize your independent decision-making capacities and strong interpersonal skillsCollaborate with Clinical Director and charge nurse for optimal care delivery and patient servicesRequirementsHigh school graduate or equivalent preferredCompletion of an approved Health Unit Coordinator vocational training course and basic arrhythmia course preferredOne (1) year of patient care experience preferredOne (1) year equivalent clerical experience in a medical setting preferredOn the job Training Provided: Successful completion of rhythm identification training and EKG telemetry competency test (experienced techs may bypass the training by passing competency test)About Tacoma General HospitalMultiCare Tacoma General Hospital, in the heart of Tacoma, WA, is a 367-bed regional medical center delivering cutting-edge care. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $24.18 - $39.97 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
