We want you to apply!Job Summary and QualificationsPosition Summary: This position is responsible for continuous observation of cardiac monitoring surveillance including identifying, interpreting, documenting, and reporting cardiac rhythms. Essential Functions include but are not limited to:Responsible for the continuous observation of patients' cardiac rhythm being transmitted remotely to the central monitoring stationResponsible for continuous interpretation of normal and abnormal cardiac rhythms and eventsResponsible for recognizing and understanding the significance of alarmsImmediately communicates life threatening changes in cardiac rhythms via hospital emergency systemCompares and interprets current rhythm with previous monitoring and communicates changes as appropriateCompletes accurate and timely documentation of rhythms, changes in rhythms and/or arrhythmias per policyAssists nursing personnel with troubleshooting and correcting equipment problemsInforms and coordinates equipment repairs with Biomedical DepartmentMaintains cleanliness of work areaPromotes internal and external customer satisfactionBuilds and promotes a culture of service excellence and continuous improvementWorks as scheduled and is compliant with Attendance and Tardiness PolicyQualifications:Required: American Heart Association BLS; successful completion of Basic Dysrhythmia Course; successful demonstration of rhythm strip competency and testPreferred: Previous experience or education of arrhythmia interpretationGrow your career where your work truly mattersat Parkland Medical Center.
