As our Monitor Tech you will perform a variety of duties including EKG monitoring and interpretation, compiling, transcribing, preparing and maintaining records for your unit. You will also provide information and communication services to visitors and staff and assist nursing staff in maintaining efficient operations on the unit. Take the next step in your career.Interpret Rhythms and Arrhythmias.Report all changes in heart rate/rhythm to appropriate nursing staff.Maintain Telemetry Supplies.Record patient condition utilizing computerized documentation systems.Perform duties with full understanding of related age specific factors.Orient and mentor new staff members.Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Qualifications:BLS Healthcare ProviderCompletion of Basic EKG/Arrhythmia course. Demonstrated ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and arrhythmiasWorking knowledge of medical terminologyCMT/Cardiac Experience PreferredExperience as a monitor tech in a hospital setting preferredCustomer service abilities including effective listening skillsBasic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateHCA Florida South Shore Hospital is a 138 bed community hospital.
