Reports to: Director of Critical Care Unit/Stepdown. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. License: N/A. Certifications: Handle with Care (HWC) within 6 months of hire/transfer. Required Skills:Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Perform continual surveillance of multiple monitors.Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately. Identifies and corrects for artifacts.Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to the nursing staff.Tests equipment for proper working order.
