The Merrimack has an exciting opportunity for a well‑established Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO). The successful applicant will have strong connections in the Southern New Hampshire region, including Concord, Manchester, Hooksett, Nashua and Windham. This position will be a hybrid based model and requires travel across the defined territories to support business needs. Grow your business with a robust, competitive product suite designed for all housing needs, ranging from Construction Draw Loans and specialized ADU Financing to flexible Portfolio Lending solutions. Leverage our strong partnership with Freddie Mac, NH Housing, and comprehensive FHA/VA options to help grow your business. With this extensive portfolio, you’ll have the tools to tailor financing for every scenario—from renovations to new construction and beyond. We offer both a competitive salary and variable compensation plan, along with a comprehensive benefit package including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, 401K (with Company match), paid time off, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement, professional development and the opportunity to work with a great team! Salary negotiable based on level of experience plus commissions. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the solicitation and origination of mortgage loan products in designated sales markets on behalf of the Bank Establishes effective referral networks and professional relationships to meet assigned loan production objectives Ensures complete and thorough documentation; monitors application status of originated loans throughout the processing and closing steps Provides optimum customer availability to take mortgage loan applications, provide financing options and products and conduct pre‑qualification of clients JOB REQUIREMENTS: Three to five years banking experience with a strong knowledge of residential mortgage lending products, regulations and systems NMLS registration required Demonstrated sales qualifying, presentation and closing skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong computer skills; self‑directed with experience working with diverse clientele base Ability to foster effective referral networks to meet production objectives Strong working knowledge of mortgage lending/servicing software applications We believe in building genuine partnerships that encompass top of the line customer service delivered by a culture of teamwork, integrity and excellence.
