Mortgage Loan Processor/Jr. Underwriter Apply
Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced candidate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in processing conventional loans, with expertise in clearing conditions, reviewing credit reports, and conducting thorough income and asset reviews. Key Responsibilities Review and verify loan applications for completeness and accuracy. Analyze credit reports to assess applicants' creditworthiness. Evaluate income and asset documentation to ensure compliance with lending guidelines. Clear loan conditions and ensure all required documentation is obtained. Communicate effectively with loan officers, underwriters, and internal partners to resolve any issues. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of conventional loan processing guidelines and regulations. Qualifications Proven experience as a Loan Processor, preferably with conventional loans. Strong understanding of credit reports, income, and asset documentation. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Skills Mortgage Mortgage loan Data entry Administrative support Microsoft office Loan Processing Underwriting Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate's degree or equivalent work experience 3+ years of relevant work experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred General understanding of applicable Federal, State and Local regulations Understand underwriting guidelines for income and assets Underwriter or junior underwriter would be ideal Should have strong loan processing experience Know how to calculate income and assets There is income training but needs to know how to process loans, review titles, appraisals Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moorpark, CA.
