SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This job is responsible for performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures at a technical level in accordance with established protocols established by management to facilitate the consistency of results. Work involves performing MRI scans, including a variety of procedures that require independent judgment and initiative. An incumbent assumes responsibility for the safe, efficient and proper operation of MRI operating equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Must be American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) (ARRT) registered within six (6) months of employment
  • Must be MRI registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (MR)(ARRT) or with American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) within two (2) years of employment
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon orientation completion

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • MRI experience preferred.
