- Shift: Fridays 10:00 AM 9:00 PM, Saturdays & Sundays 7:00 AM 7:00 PM

Job Summary
The MRI Technologist, under the supervision of a Radiologist, performs MRI procedures on patients as ordered by a physician or licensed provider. The technologist follows established protocols to assist in diagnosing disease and injury while ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care.
Essential Functions
- Perform high-quality MRI procedures according to exam protocols, maintaining production and imaging quality standards.
- Use AIDET communication techniques to interact with patients, addressing their needs and establishing rapport.
- Instruct patients and family members regarding the procedure, assessing the patient's ability to tolerate the exam.
- Prepare the patient and procedure area by positioning patients, adjusting immobilization devices, and configuring equipment.
- Follow safety, infection control, and radiation policies to protect patients and staff. Use sterile techniques as needed.
- Maintain imaging equipment and work area; collaborate with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment operation.
- Screen individuals entering the department according to approved policies.
- Obtain, verify, and maintain all relevant documentation including patient history, requisition/chart, pregnancy status, shielding precautions, and consent forms.
- Maintain medical imaging records in accordance with department standards and timelines.

- Ensure patient satisfaction by minimizing wait times and providing courteous service.
- Maintain current knowledge and skills for care of patients across all age groups.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: Less than 1 year of experience acceptable.
- Certification/License/Registration:
- ARMRIT American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists or
- ARRT-MR Magnetic Resonance Imaging Certification or
- ARRT-R Radiography Certification
