  • Shift: Monday Thursday | 7:00 PM 4:00 AM
  • Job Type: Permanent
  • Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
  • Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Job Summary:

The MRI Technologist, under the general supervision of a Radiologist, performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a physician or other licensed provider. The technologist ensures high-quality imaging for the diagnosis of diseases and injuries in accordance with established protocols, safety standards, and patient care guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform MRI procedures in compliance with established protocols and physician orders.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy during all imaging procedures.
  • Prepare and position patients properly for optimal image quality.
  • Operate MRI equipment and monitor scans to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and patient imaging records.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare team members to ensure timely and accurate imaging services.
  • Adhere to organizational policies, safety regulations, and infection control standards.
  • Provide clear instructions and reassurance to patients before and during the procedure.
Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Less than 1 year of experience required.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS): Required upon hire or within 30 days.
  • Certifications (Required):
    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT(MR), or
    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography ARRT(R), or
    • American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists ARMRIT
