Job Title: MUMPS Healthcare Application Programmer

Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain applications and software solutions using MUMPS, ensuring they meet the specific needs of healthcare clients.
• Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to understand healthcare requirements and translate them into efficient MUMPS-based applications.
• Write high-quality, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Maintain and upgrade existing MUMPS applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HL7).
• Integrate MUMPS applications with other systems and third-party applications, ensuring smooth data exchange and interoperability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in live applications, providing timely fixes and support.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices in development.
• Provide technical support and training to healthcare professionals as needed.
• Assist in system testing and quality assurance to ensure applications are functioning optimally.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a MUMPS developer in a healthcare environment.
• Strong proficiency in MUMPS programming, including advanced knowledge of its syntax, data structures, and healthcare-related libraries.
• Familiarity with healthcare standards such as HL7, ICD-10, and ICD-9.
• Experience in integrating healthcare systems and working with Electronic Health Records (EHR), Patient Management Systems (PMS), or similar applications.
• Knowledge of database management, including the use of MUMPS-based databases (e.g., GT.M or Cache).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Experience with healthcare regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, meaningful use).
• Familiarity with modern web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, REST APIs) for integration purposes.
• Experience in Agile software development methodologies.
• Certification in MUMPS development or related technologies is a plus.
• Federal Experience is a plus.
• Required Security clearance.
