The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in Linux, AWS cloud services, and production‑grade MySQL administration. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain MySQL 5.7 / 8.0 on Linux‑based systems. Perform database performance tuning, slow query analysis, and index optimization. Manage backup and recovery using tools like mysqldump and Percona XtraBackup. Configure and support MySQL replication (Master‑Slave, GTID replication). Work on high availability setups (MySQL Cluster, InnoDB Cluster, Galera). Maintain and optimize AWS‑hosted databases: EC2 MySQL instances, AWS RDS / Aurora MySQL. Troubleshoot database performance, latency, and system resource issues. Perform regular patching, upgrades, and engine maintenance. Implement and manage user access, privileges, and security best practices. Work closely with DevOps and application teams for schema changes and deployments.
